Pebble Time 2 Revealed With Final Design and New Features
August 13, 2025
Eric Migicovsky, creator of the original Pebble smartwatch, has unveiled the final design for the upcoming Pebble Time 2, marking the brand’s return to the market under its original name.
When Migicovsky’s new company, Core Devices, first announced its comeback in March, the watches were branded as the Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2. Since then, the team has regained the Pebble trademark, allowing the models to be officially named Pebble 2 Duo and Pebble Time 2.
The Pebble Time 2 will launch in four colors, which have yet to be finalized. Customers will have a say in the selection. New additions to the watch include a multicolor RGB LED backlight, a second microphone to support potential noise-cancellation features, a compass sensor, and a screw-mounted back cover. The watch will feature stainless steel on both front and back, as well as stainless steel buttons, similar to the Pebble Time Steel.
Key specs remain consistent with earlier plans: a 1.5-inch, 64-color e-paper display; touchscreen; quick-release 22 mm strap; flat hardened glass lens; 30-day estimated battery life; heart rate monitor; step and sleep tracking; speaker; vibration motor; and water resistance (rating to be determined).
The Pebble Time 2 is now available for preorder at $225. It pairs with smartphones via Bluetooth, enabling notifications, music control, and internet connectivity. Customers who previously ordered the Core 2 Duo will have the option to upgrade to the Pebble Time 2 without losing their place in line, with upgrade instructions to be sent via email in the coming weeks.
