Fountain Life Raises $18M to Expand Longevity and Preventive Health Centers
August 13, 2025
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. William Kapp’s career took an unexpected turn eight years ago after attending a medical conference that sparked his interest in longevity and preventive health. Having moved from private practice to co-founding and selling a critical care hospital company, Kapp began exploring how technology could improve patient outcomes while lowering costs.

Inspired by talks from physician-scientist Dr. Daniel Kraft, XPRIZE founder Dr. Peter Diamandis, and stem cell pioneer Dr. Bob Hariri, Kapp launched the Longevity Performance Center in Naples, Florida, focusing on early detection and optimization of health. In 2020, Diamandis and entrepreneur Tony Robbins visited the center, leading to a merger with their stem cell startup, Fountain Therapeutics, to form Fountain Life.

Fountain Life has now raised an $18 million Series B round led by EOS Ventures, with participation from most existing board members. The company previously secured $80 million in Series A funding, bringing its total raised to about $108 million.

The company operates on three principles: preventing avoidable illnesses through early detection, optimizing health markers with evidence-based treatments, and using advanced regenerative therapies under FDA trials. Its four centers — in Naples, Orlando, Dallas, and Westchester, New York — offer comprehensive screenings, including blood tests and body scans that monitor over 100 biomarkers. A Houston center is set to open in December, with Los Angeles and Miami locations planned for mid-2026.

Memberships cost $21,500 per year for full access, including quarterly testing and physician support, or $10,500 for testing and AI-based analysis via the company’s Zori app without ongoing care. While costly, Kapp points to cases where early screenings detected serious, asymptomatic conditions, such as kidney cancer and a brain aneurysm, that were successfully treated.

Fountain Life aims to reduce costs by training other medical facilities in its methodology, potentially making longevity-focused care more accessible.

The company operates in a competitive space, with other doctor-led startups such as Function Health offering lower-cost testing packages and optional body scans. However, Fountain Life differentiates itself with a combination of full-body diagnostics, ongoing optimization, and physician-led care.
