Character.AI Launches Social Feed to Let Users Share AI-Created Content and Chatbots
August 4, 2025
AI chatbot platform Character.AI is expanding into social media territory with the launch of a new feed on its mobile apps, allowing users to share AI-generated content — including videos, chat snippets, and custom characters — directly with others.
The feature, which debuted on the company’s web platform in June, brings a social layer to Character.AI’s mobile experience. Users can now showcase their AI-powered conversations, generate and share images or video clips using the company’s AvatarFX video model, and even stage livestreamed debates between AI characters.
“With our new Feed, the boundary between creator and consumer is disappearing,” said CEO Karandeep Singh in a statement. “You can come to Feed for a lean-back experience and watch content from our amazing creators – but you can also take the story forward or create a new epic adventure.”
The move comes as AI-generated media continues to flood popular social platforms, with apps increasingly catering to audiences looking to create and consume AI-driven entertainment. Character.AI’s new social feed positions it as more than just a chatbot platform — it’s aiming to become a community-driven content engine.
The update also places Character.AI alongside other AI-native startups embracing social features. Last month, AI video app Pika launched an invite-only app allowing users to generate and share short AI-created videos.
By blending generative AI with interactive storytelling and social sharing, Character.AI is tapping into the growing appetite for personalized, AI-generated entertainment — while also trying to keep users engaged and contributing within its ecosystem.
